A young family in Hoggs Hollow (Toronto) with two children, ages 2 years and 3 months, is looking for a full-time nanny to start as soon as possible. They are offering up to $45 per hour, plus potential perks and bonuses for the right candidate. Schedule: The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM. The family may also occasionally need extra hours on a Friday or Saturday night. This would not be regular, but the ability to be flexible on occasion is appreciated. This is a childcare-focused role. The primary responsibility is caring for the infant while mom goes to work, including, but not limited to, feeding from a bottle, putting the baby down for naps, and folding and organizing children’s laundry during downtime. The role also includes caring for the toddler when he gets home from school. The family enjoys spending time outdoors and at home. They are looking for someone trustworthy to become an extended member of their family. They are particularly looking for someone with a strong background and extensive experience working with both infants and toddlers (required). The ideal candidate is someone with a solid understanding of developmental milestones and activities for each age group, who is safety-conscious, calm, and composed under pressure. The candidate should also be flexible and able to adapt to the family’s routine, effective in interacting with both parents and children, and creative and resourceful in engaging the children. Punctuality, reliability, trustworthiness, and a warm, nurturing personality are also essential for this role. The family already has full-time housekeeping staff. They also have a small, house-trained dog. Although the nanny will not be responsible for the pet, it is important that they are comfortable working around animals. Ability to travel would be a bonus, but is not required. Driving is not required.
