A lovely family in Willowdale West, North York, with a one-year-old is looking for a weekend nanny to start on July 1, 2025. They're offering up to $50 per hour, plus potential health benefits for the right candidate.

Schedule:

Saturday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing general care for their one-year-old.
- Preparing and serving meals, snacks, and bottles; monitoring for allergies.
- Changing diapers regularly and applying cream as needed.
- Putting the baby down for naps and following a consistent routine.
- Dressing the child appropriately for activities and weather.
- Engaging the child in age-appropriate play to support gross and fine motor skills, language, and social development (e.g., stacking blocks, peekaboo, simple books); reading daily to encourage language development; singing, dancing, and playing clapping games; supervising floor time or outdoor play to promote walking, climbing, and exploring.
- Cleaning up after meals and playtime; washing, folding, and putting away the child’s laundry; tidying the nursery and play areas.
- Providing daily updates summarizing naps, meals, diaper changes, moods, and milestones; sending occasional photos or texts if agreed upon with the parents.

Mom is a stroke survivor and is actively participating in a comprehensive recovery program with a team of therapists. She experiences expressive aphasia (which affects her speech pace and clarity) and exertion-sensitive post-stroke fatigue. The family is looking for someone with empathy for stroke survivors and a genuine interest in supporting the entire household. They already have a full-time nanny from Monday to Friday, as well as a night nanny every night.

They are specifically looking for someone who can help care for their one-year-old on weekends. They would love someone who is warm, cheerful, and passionate about childcare, with the ability to support their child's development. The family is within walking distance of a central library and an EarlyON Centre, so it would be ideal to have a nanny who feels comfortable taking their child out for local outings.

An ECE or equivalent knowledge will be highly valued!

Driving is not required.
