*** Exciting Long-Term Opportunity in Shaughnessy/Kerrisdale (Vancouver): Full-Time Nanny Needed from September 2025 to September 2027, Earn Up to $32/Hour Plus Transit Pass and Other Bonuses!

This lovely family of five in the Shaughnessy/Kerrisdale area in Vancouver is looking for a mature and responsible nanny to start in September 2025 to provide care for their youngest, who will be six months old at that time. They also have two children, ages 9 and 7, but the primary focus will be on the infant. They are offering up to $32 per hour for the right candidate, along with a transit pass and a contract completion bonus of $7,500 after two years.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

They are also open to an arrangement where hours are reduced on Fridays (for example, ending at noon) and days end at 5:00 PM Monday to Thursday. Part-time hours could be offered in the weeks prior to September 2nd to help transition the nanny into the role. Please indicate your preference when applying for the position.

Duties:
- General childcare, mainly for the infant.
- Diapering and assistance with potty - training as the infant grows older.
- Feeding, including bottle preparation and meal/snack prep.
- Cleaning up after the infant.
- Infant’s laundry.
- Following a consistent nap schedule and routine.
- Organizing regular outings outside of the home (rain or shine), such as walks to the park or activities at the community center.
- Playing, reading, and engaging with the infant without screen time.

They are an active, busy family of five. Dad works primarily from home, and Mom works from home occasionally. Both parents have home offices that are separated from the nanny’s workspace, and they will not interfere with the nanny’s daily routine. However, it is important for them that the nanny is comfortable with the parents being at home.

Their two older children (9 and 7) are enrolled in before- and after-school care. The boys are best friends, very responsible, and generally self-sufficient, requiring minimal attention. During the summer, they are typically enrolled in several camps, so the nanny will not be expected to provide full-time care for them. The focus of the role will remain on the infant.

They are particularly looking for someone with significant infant care experience, someone who is caring, warm, patient, and able to commit to staying with the family for two years.

They also have a friendly Goldendoodle. Although the nanny will not be responsible for the dog, they would need someone who is comfortable working around pets.

No driving is required.

The family is fully vaccinated and would appreciate it if the nanny is as well.
