A loving family of three in Bridgeland-Riverside, Calgary, with a one-year-old, is looking for a reliable and empathetic nanny to join their team starting in June. They’re offering up to $30 per hour, plus health benefits for the right candidate!

Schedule:
Monday - Thursday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Providing general childcare.
- Preparing breakfast and lunch for the toddler.
- Changing diapers and clothes as needed.
- Taking the child outside for stroller walks and park playtime.
- Engaging in indoor play activities.
- Taking the toddler to baby classes, playgroups, and other neighborhood activities.
- Putting the toddler down for naps.
- Reading books to the toddler.
- Some light housekeeping, including tidying play areas and the nursery after playtime, cleaning up the kitchen after meals, doing the toddler’s laundry, and feeding the family’s cat.

They are an active family that enjoys running and biking and follows a vegetarian lifestyle. The mom returns to work in mid-June, but she would like some overlap/transition time to help their child adjust to the new nanny while also allowing herself a little time before officially returning to work.

Their sweet daughter has hip dysplasia and wears a brace, so the nanny should be gentle with her legs and may need to put the brace on and off as required. They also need someone who is capable of carrying a toddler upstairs.

They’re particularly looking for a warm, patient, and emotionally attuned nanny who can validate their child’s emotions, maintain boundaries, provide open and honest communication, and adapt to their parenting style. The ideal candidate is someone who stays calm under pressure, is creative with activities (especially in winter), and ensures the child’s safety. Building a strong bond with their toddler is a priority, and they need someone who is quick to respond to any risks.

The nanny does not need to drive, but if they do, they may choose to take the child on short outings for more engaging activities.
