This family near Ottawa Hospital, with a 5-month-old child is looking for a full-time nanny to start as soon as possible. They’re offering up to $30 per hour for the right candidate.

Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing attentive care and ensuring the child’s well-being, safety, and emotional development.
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks (meal ingredients/food will be provided).
- Taking the child on age-appropriate outings and activities (e.g., park visits, stroller walks, EarlyON/library programs).
- Following the child’s sleep schedule, including nap time routines.
- Bathing, dressing, and diapering.
- Engaging in one-on-one interactions to support social and emotional development.
- Playing, reading, and engaging with the child without screen time.
- Communicating with the parent about daily activities and providing routine-related suggestions.
- Light tidying of child-related areas following activities or during periods of downtime.

Dad is a single parent currently on parental leave and plans a phased return to work starting September 2025. He has a home office separate from where the nanny will be with the child, so the nanny should be comfortable with him working at home. The family values consistent routines, positive encouragement, and plenty of outdoor time. They also have a close family who are very involved in the child’s life and visit regularly, though none live in Ontario.

They are particularly looking for someone experienced in infant care, especially age-appropriate developmental activities. The ideal candidate is kind, gentle, and patient, a good communicator who can follow instructions and routines while working collaboratively with the dad, highly punctual, responsible, and safety-conscious, creative and energetic.

They also live with two friendly indoor cats. While the nanny will not be responsible for their care, she must be safe and comfortable working around them.

Driving is not required but would be an asset (vehicle will not be provided).
