A warm and welcoming family in Barrhaven, Ottawa, with a one-year-old, is looking for a reliable and dedicated full-time nanny to join their team. They are looking for someone to start as soon as possible and are offering up to $28 per hour for the right candidate.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (40 guaranteed hours per week). The family is flexible with start and end times. Please specify your preference when applying.

This is a child-focused role, as the family already has a housekeeper. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Providing attentive care and ensuring the child's well-being, safety, and emotional development.
- Preparing and serving meals and snacks (meal components will be provided).
- Taking the child on outings and activities (e.g., park visits, stroller walks, etc.).
- Following the child’s sleep schedule, including nap time routines.
- Bathing, dressing, and diapering.
- Engaging in one-on-one interactions to support social and emotional development.
- Communicating with parents about daily activities and providing routine-related suggestions.

The family is new to Barrhaven and is looking for someone who can support them not only during this transition but also long term, as they are planning to have another child in the future. The mother will be home most of the time. They also have a friendly indoor cat, which the nanny will not be responsible for. However, since the child spends a lot of time interacting with the cat, the nanny must be comfortable working in a home with pets.

While driving is an asset, it is not required for this position.
