A warm family in Etobicoke is looking for an experienced, engaging, and proactive Family Assistant / Nanny to join their household long term. They have two young children, ages 1 and 3, who attend daycare full-time.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with young children but also enjoys the organization and household support that comes with a Family Assistant role.

The weekday schedule is structured with dedicated household support time before transitioning into childcare in the afternoon and evening.

Schedule:
Monday–Thursday, 12:30 PM–8:30 PM + one weekend day (Saturday preferred)

40 hours per week

Family Assistant Duties :

- Family laundry
- Meal preparation
- Grocery shopping and occasional errands
- Light household duties such as: keeping the kitchen clean and organized, light vacuuming and general tidying including organizing toys.
- Keeping children's clothing and supplies organized and fully stocked
- Helping ensure the household is stocked and ready for the week

Childcare & Evening Support Duties:

- Pick up the children from daycare
- Provide warm, engaging, and attentive care
- Plan age-appropriate play, reading, and activities
- Support the children's developmental milestones through everyday play and interaction
- Help with dinner and the children's evening routines
- Work collaboratively alongside the parents during the afternoon and evening
- While the parents handle bedtime, clean the kitchen after dinner and reset the home for the next day

Their eldest daughter has a speech delay. Previous experience supporting a child with speech and language development is a great asset but is not required. The family is happy to provide guidance based on the strategies and exercises recommended by their daughter's therapists.
