This sweet family is moving to Vancouver from January 4 to February 5, 2027, and is looking for a short-term nanny for their 3-year-old child. They are offering up to $45 per hour for the right candidate. Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Primary responsibilities mainly include, but are not limited to, the following: 1.) Providing general childcare for their child 2.) Light housekeeping related to the child’s belongings, such as helping to make the bed and washing/putting away clothes, as well as food preparation and/or meal cooking based on a meal plan created by the parents for the family to share. They are a family of three (mom, dad, and child) who are traveling to Vancouver for work for one month. Their child is fun-loving, curious, thoughtful, and very smart. They focus on providing a warm but structured environment with plenty of room to explore and play, while maintaining clear and consistent boundaries around acceptable behavior. They encourage their child to talk about their feelings and learn how to process big feelings in safe and appropriate ways. They believe in a play-based philosophy where their child is free to lead and follow their own interests at their own pace. The family does not allow screens or personal technology for their child, including cellphones, TVs, tablets, or computers. They would also prefer that the nanny refrain from using their personal phone, tablet, or computer or watching TV while working, except when necessary for work-related communication or emergencies. They also focus on providing healthy and nutritious foods and ask that the nanny prepare and serve healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for their child. They are looking for someone who is active and can plan fun and engaging activities. They are seeking someone who is kind, organized, experienced, creative, gentle, and fun. Ideally, the candidate will be familiar with RIE philosophies and gentle parenting approaches. The ideal candidate is someone who is caring, calm, patient, fun-loving, responsible, encouraging, enjoys reading, and is active. The family would also appreciate someone who is comfortable supporting a gender-expansive child who enjoys expressing themselves in many different ways, including in ways that may not traditionally align with gender stereotypes. Driving is not required.
