*** Part-Time Nanny Needed for a Family in Discovery Ridge (Calgary) to Start ASAP, Earn Up to $35/Hour + Potential Health Benefits!

This warm and welcoming family in Discovery Ridge, Calgary, is looking for a full-time nanny for their two children, ages 9 and 7, to start as soon as possible. They are offering up to $35 per hour, plus potential health benefits for the right candidate.

Schedule:
- Monday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Wednesday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- One additional half-day, either morning or afternoon (Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday). The family is flexible on the day and timing. Please indicate your preference when applying.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

1.) General childcare for the two children, including taking them out for activities, engaging in homeschooling activities, or basic lesson planning (this would all be outlined by the parents).

2.) Light housekeeping, i.e., cleaning the kitchen after making lunch. Basic pet care for their two dogs (letting the dogs out, walking them with the children, and feeding them during scheduled times). Only light housekeeping is required as the family already has housekeeping services.

They are a very close-knit family that loves to travel and prefer minimal screen time. The children are active, goofy, mischievous, and fun.

Ideal Candidate
* Proactive, confident, and able to take initiative without relying on the parents for day-to-day direction.
* Able to set firm, age-appropriate boundaries and confidently manage challenging behaviour.
* Encourages the children to take responsibility for their own belongings, activities, and clean-up.
* Ideally has experience supporting homeschooling or schoolwork.
* Does not need to be a formal teacher but should be comfortable guiding the children through basic lessons and exercises.
* Patient and creative when helping children understand concepts, particularly in subjects such as math.
* Able to explain a problem or concept in different ways when a child does not understand the initial explanation.
* Engaging and fun while still providing structure, consistency, and accountability.

Experience with neurodivergent children and supporting emotional regulation would be a plus.

Education or experience in teaching, teacher’s aide roles, or previous homeschooling within a family would also be an asset.

Driving is required, and a vehicle will be provided for work purposes.
