DRIVING POSITION

A warm family in the Stonegate-Queensway area of Etobicoke is looking for a long-term Family Assistant / Nanny to support their busy household and two young children, ages 1 and 2.

The family is looking for someone warm, organized, proactive, and great with young children.

Their eldest daughter has a speech delay so someone with experience assisting with speech and language strategies is a strong asset.

This is a fragrance-free household. Mom and the youngest daughter have allergies so someone who pays attention to labels and has experience working with a child with allergies is an asset.

Schedule

Monday–Friday:
7:30–10:30 a.m. & 3:00–8:00 p.m.

Occasional weekend support may be requested with advance notice.

Responsibilities

Childcare:

- Provide warm and engaging care for the children
- Drop off and pick up the children from school and daycare
- Plan age-appropriate play, reading, and activities
- Prepare simple meals and snacks for the children
- Help with morning, after-daycare, and evening routines
- Support the children's development through everyday play and interaction

Family Assistant Support:

- Family laundry
- Keeping toys, children's spaces, and common areas tidy and organized
- Changing bed linens
- Light vacuuming and floor clean-up as needed
- Keeping the kitchen tidy and cleaning up after children's meals
- Grocery shopping and occasional errands
- Keeping track of children's supplies, clothing, and other household needs
- Meal preparation as needed

The family is looking for someone who naturally notices what needs to be done and is happy to pitch in to keep the household running smoothly. They have two very sweet and affectionate children and are hoping to find someone who will build a strong relationship with them and stay with the family for years to come.
