About the Family

The family has two sweet and very different 2-year-old boys who are four months apart and affectionately referred to as "twins." The successful candidate will join this established team and provide additional individualized support to the boys.

Both children are bright, active, affectionate, and curious, but they have very different personalities and developmental needs.

One child is thoughtful, empathetic, observant, and a little more reserved. He loves cars, trucks, drawing, climbing, soccer, and basketball. He is currently working with a Speech-Language Therapist and benefits from a calm, consistent caregiver who gives him the time and space to communicate, transition between activities, and feel heard.

His brother is outgoing, chatty, energetic, social, and an incredibly eager learner. He loves singing, dancing, puzzles, word games, creative activities, and learning new things. He thrives with a caregiver who can keep him engaged, challenged, and busy!

Both parents work primarily from home and are very involved with their children. They are looking for someone who is comfortable working collaboratively with parents and the family's existing nannies.

Responsibilities

- Working collaboratively with the family's current nannies to support the boys' routines, development, and individual needs
- Providing attentive and engaging care for one or both children
- Planning age-appropriate play, crafts, sports, reading, singing, games, outings, and learning activities
- Supporting each child's independence, communication, and emotional development
- Preparing simple meals and snacks for the children as needed
- Keeping children's areas tidy after activities and meals

The family would love to find a nanny who is warm, patient, playful, and genuinely interested in early childhood development. Experience supporting neurodivergent children or a therapeutic/developmental approach to childcare would be a strong asset.

One of the boys has been assessed for possible Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder and is currently being monitored. The family is looking for someone who is comfortable meeting children where they are developmentally and adapting their approach to each child's individual personality and needs.

Swimming ability is a bonus, as the children love swimming. A Driver's licence preferred, particularly in case of emergencies, but not mandatory

Must be comfortable in a fragrance-free environment due to a family member's sensitivity to strong scents
One child also has eczema that requires routine monitoring. The household also has important food/allergy considerations that will be discussed with the successful candidate.

This is a wonderful opportunity for a nanny who enjoys being part of a collaborative household and wants to build meaningful individual relationships with two fun, affectionate, and very different little boys.
