Newborn Care Specialist Needed in West Point Grey, Vancouver. Earn up to $45/hour

Start ASAP through December 2026

A family in Vancouver is looking for a warm, knowledgeable, and flexible Newborn Care Specialist to provide daytime support for their newborn, born July 20.

This is a collaborative role working alongside Mom. The family is looking for someone who brings strong newborn expertise while being adaptable and supportive rather than rigid or set in their ways.

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday & Friday from 9:00am-5:00pm
Potential for more hours to be added later in the contract

The primary focus will be supporting Mom and baby with:

- Newborn care, soothing and diaper changes
- Establishing healthy sleep habits and nap routines
- Breastfeeding support and guidance
- Bottle sterilization and baby feeding preparation
- Keeping the nursery organized and fully stocked
- Bath time and general infant care
- Holding and caring for baby so Mom can shower, eat, exercise, or take a break
- Accompanying Mom and baby to occasional appointments or walks
- Baby laundry
- Light meal support, such as heating up lunch
- Occasional help feeding the family's two cats

The family has a regular cleaner, so no cleaning is required.

The Ideal Candidate:

- Extensive newborn experience and strong knowledge of infant development
- Knowledgeable about newborn sleep and breastfeeding
- Warm, personable, and enjoyable to spend time with
- Flexible and able to adapt to the family's preferences
- Supportive and confident without being pushy
- Comfortable working alongside a parent
- Comfortable with cats
- Spanish-speaking is a strong asset

This position starts as soon as possible and runs through December 2026. It's a wonderful opportunity for an experienced newborn professional who enjoys providing both practical and reassuring support during the early months with a new baby.
