Family Assistant Needed near Bathurst/Dupont. Earn up to $40/hour

A busy family of four, with an 8 year old and 4 year old is looking for an organized, resourceful, and engaging Family Assistant to join their household long-term.

Both parents have busy careers that include travel, so they are looking for someone who can take ownership of the family's day-to-day needs and offer flexibility when schedules change. The ideal candidate will be warm and fun with the children while also comfortable setting respectful boundaries, encouraging good manners, and ensuring the children participate in their own age-appropriate responsibilities.

Monday–Friday, approximately 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

The nanny must be flexible to stay until 8:30pm a couple of days per week depending on the children's activities or when a parent is travelling, with advance notice.

The family travels frequently — approximately two weeks at Christmas, two weeks over March Break, and 3–4 weeks during the summer — and the Family Assistant will continue to be paid while the family is away.

Responsibilities

* School pick-ups and transportation to activities
* Engaging with the children and supporting their routines
* Meal preparation and confidently following recipes
* Grocery shopping and errands
* Daily tidying and household organization
* Regular laundry and occasional ironing
* Children's wardrobe and organizational support
* Keeping track of household supplies and restocking as needed
* Helping the children stay organized and complete age-appropriate chores

The family has a regular housekeeping service.

* Highly organized, detail-oriented, and resourceful
* A strong communicator who takes initiative
* Confident in the kitchen and comfortable following recipes

A family vehicle is provided for the Family Assistant's exclusive use (including to and from work and on weekends)
