Family Assistant / House Manager Needed near Mount Royal University in Calgary. Earn up to $35/hour

A busy, easy-going single dad in Calgary is seeking a warm, reliable, and highly organized Family Assistant / House Manager to support his household and three school-aged boys (15, 12 and 10 years old)

Dad has the children every other week, creating a unique schedule with a busier childcare-focused week followed by a lighter house management week. The family is looking for someone who is self-sufficient, takes initiative, and can confidently keep a busy household running smoothly.

The ideal candidate genuinely enjoys working with school age/teenagers but is equally comfortable taking ownership of household organization, errands, meal preparation, laundry, and pet care.

Start Date: October 1

Schedule

Week 1 – Children are with Dad:
Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

Week 2 – Children are with their other parent:
Approximately 25 hours per week, focused on household management and pet care.

The family guarantees 70 hours every two weeks.

Responsibilities

- Get the children up and ready for school, prepare breakfast, help ensure they have everything they need for the day, and drive them to school.
- Help keep the household organized and running smoothly, including general tidying, laundry, changing bed linens, grocery shopping, errands, household organization, and keeping the home well stocked.
- Grocery shopping, meal prep including making lunches
- Pick the children up from school, transport them to extracurricular activities, help keep them organized, empty backpacks, and provide general after-school support.
- Assist with the family's dog, including feeding and walks.

We are looking for someone warm, reliable, organized, and proactive. The Family Assistant must be self-sufficient and confident managing their day independently. Experienced working with school-aged children is required.

The youngest child has ADHD and is doing very well with medication and his current routine. Someone with experience supporting children with ADHD would be an asset.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Family Assistant or House Manager who enjoys becoming an integral part of a household and appreciates the balance of a busy family week followed by a lighter household-focused week.

A valid driver's licence is required. The family has a vehicle available for use during working hours.
