*** Short-Term Nanny Needed in Yaletown (Vancouver) from June to Mid-October, Earn Up to $35/Hour + Transit or Parking Benefit!

This new family in Yaletown, Vancouver, with a 4-month-old child, is looking for a short-term nanny to start in June until mid-October. They’re offering up to $35 per hour, plus a transit pass or monthly parking pass for the right candidate.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Primary responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Providing general childcare and ensuring the child has consistent, age-appropriate routines and rhythms.
- Supporting healthy sleep habits and encouraging independent sleep.
- Feeding, including formula preparation and administering vitamins as instructed.
- Keeping bottles, soothers, and toys clean (sterilizer and dishwasher available).
- Maintaining the child’s space: placing soiled clothing and towels in the laundry, and tidying books and toys after use.
- Taking the child out for walks.
- Supporting age-appropriate physical development (e.g., rolling, crawling as he develops).
- Recommending age-appropriate activities, gear, or developmental guidance to the parents.
- During downtime (when the baby is asleep): completing baby-related tasks such as laundry or errands (e.g., purchasing diapers, vitamins).
- Logging activity data and routines using an app or written notes.

No housekeeping is required, as the family already has housekeeping services.

Parents are an LGBT couple, and work from home. Their home is app-integrated, including their baby routine tracker, so they would appreciate a nanny who is comfortable using apps and smart devices. They are particularly looking for someone who is communicative and experienced in working with infants, and who can guide and support them as first-time parents regarding their child’s development.

Applicants who speak Mandarin or Cantonese are preferred, but this is not required.

It would also be a bonus if the nanny is familiar with or comfortable maintaining a low-tox household. The family provides supplies and guidance, but would value someone who shares or understands this approach.
