DRIVING POSITION
Full-Time Nanny Needed in Erindale (Mississauga) to Start ASAP, Earn Up to $30/Hour!
This lovely family in Erindale, Mississauga, with two children ages 3 and 5, is looking for a full-time nanny who can be part of their team. They’re offering up to $30 per hour for the right candidate.
Schedule:
Monday - Friday: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Primary responsibilities mainly include, but are not limited to:
1.) Provide general childcare and maintain daily routines, including wake-up, meals, naps/quiet time, outdoor play, and bedtime preparation. Assist with dressing and age-appropriate independence skills.
2.) Plan and facilitate engaging, developmentally appropriate activities to support early learning, creativity, and curiosity. Reinforce early literacy, numeracy, fine-motor, and social-emotional skills, while providing gentle guidance for emotional regulation, sharing, and positive behaviour.
3.) Create a balanced schedule of indoor and outdoor play, arts & crafts, sensory activities, and imaginative play, encouraging exploration, independence, and age-appropriate responsibilities.
4.) Assist with school or preschool routines, including morning preparation, after-school transitions, homework or early learning tasks, and safe transportation to school, activities, or playdates if needed.
5.) Prepare healthy meals and snacks and support positive eating habits and mealtime routines.
6.) Ensure a safe, supervised environment at all times. Follow household rules regarding screen time, outdoor play, and health/safety practices. Administer minor first aid if necessary and alert parents of any concerns.
7.) Provide household support related to the children, including organizing play areas, bedrooms, and clothing, cleaning up after meals and activities, preparing school bags and materials, and encouraging age-appropriate tidying. Limit TV and electronic time.
8.) Model empathy, kindness, respect, and patience. Use positive reinforcement and age-appropriate behaviour guidance, and help children navigate transitions, big feelings, and social interactions.
9.) Provide daily updates to parents regarding activities, meals, behaviour, routines, and any concerns, collaborating to ensure consistency with expectations, routines, and developmental goals.
10.) Assist with occasional grocery shopping (credit card provided) and support during domestic and international family travel.
They are a busy family living in a generational home. The children have many after-school and weekend activities planned. In the winter, they are also very active with skiing. It would be ideal if the nanny enjoys outdoor activities and likes swimming, golf, and tennis.
ECE diploma or degree is required.
Driving is required, and a vehicle will be provided for work purposes.
